Welcome to ShortTaxi. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the ShortTaxi mobile application, website, admin portal, and any related services or features. By using the application, creating an account, or requesting a ride, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

ShortTaxi is a digital technology platform designed to connect users requesting transportation services with drivers or transportation service providers registered on the platform, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

For the purpose of these Terms:

Application: The ShortTaxi mobile application, website, admin portal, and any related digital services.

Company: The owner or operator of the ShortTaxi platform.

User / Rider: Any person using the application to request or receive transportation services.

Driver: Any person registered on the application to provide transportation services to users.

Service: The technology-based service that connects riders and drivers, including ride requests, tracking, fare calculation, payment, rating, and support.

Ride: The transportation service requested and performed through the application.

Account: The personal account created by a user or driver to access the application.

ShortTaxi provides a technology platform for requesting and managing transportation services electronically. ShortTaxi is not, unless expressly stated otherwise, a direct transportation carrier and does not necessarily own the vehicles used to provide transportation services. Transportation services are provided by drivers or transportation service providers registered on the platform.

ShortTaxi's role is limited to operating the digital platform, facilitating the connection between riders and drivers, and managing ride requests, payments, ratings, and support in accordance with approved policies.

By using the application, the user confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If the user does not agree to these Terms, they must not use the application or any related services.

The Company may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the application after any update is published shall constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.

To use certain services, users must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details and for all activities conducted through their accounts.

The Company may suspend or terminate an account if the provided information is inaccurate or if the account is used in breach of these Terms or applicable laws.

The rider agrees to:

1. Provide accurate information when requesting a ride.

2. Be present at the pickup location on time.

3. Treat the driver respectfully and not misuse the service.

4. Not use the application for unlawful or inappropriate purposes.

5. Pay the applicable fare and charges shown in the application.

6. Not damage the driver’s vehicle or cause harm during the ride.

7. Not carry prohibited, dangerous, or unlawful items.

The driver agrees to:

1. Maintain a valid driving license and all legally required documents and permits.

2. Use a safe and roadworthy vehicle that meets approved requirements.

3. Comply with traffic and safety regulations in Saudi Arabia.

4. Treat riders respectfully and professionally.

5. Avoid repeated cancellations or refusals without valid reason.

6. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and service quality.

7. Not use rider data for any purpose outside the ride.

8. Immediately report any accident, issue, or violation related to the service.

Users may request a ride through the application by selecting a pickup location and destination. The application may display ride details, including estimated fare, expected arrival time, driver details, and vehicle information.

Arrival time and final fare may vary due to traffic, route changes, waiting time, additional charges, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Fares are calculated based on the mechanism approved within the application and may include distance, time, demand, waiting charges, government fees, operational fees, or any other charges displayed before or during the ride.

The user agrees to pay all amounts due for rides and services requested through the application. Available payment methods may include cash, bank cards, digital wallets, or any other payment method approved by the Company.

Users and drivers may cancel rides in accordance with the cancellation policy approved in the application. Cancellation or waiting fees may apply if a ride is cancelled after acceptance, after the driver arrives at the pickup location, or after the free waiting period has expired.

Where possible, such fees will be displayed in the application before confirmation or in the ride summary.

The Company may offer promotions or discount codes from time to time. Such offers are subject to specific conditions and may be limited by time, location, service type, or number of uses.

The Company reserves the right to amend or cancel any offer in cases of misuse, technical error, or suspected unlawful use.

Users and drivers may rate each other after completing a ride. Ratings must be fair and must not include abusive, defamatory, unlawful, or inappropriate content. The Company reserves the right to review or remove any rating or comment that includes abuse, defamation, personal information, or inappropriate content.

The Company is committed to supporting a safe experience for all users. The following conduct is prohibited:

1. Verbal or physical abuse.

2. Harassment, threats, or discrimination.

3. Smoking inside the vehicle unless legally permitted and approved by the driver.

4. Damage to property.

5. Fraud or system manipulation.

6. Use of another person’s account without permission.

Any violation may result in account suspension, account termination, or legal action where necessary.

If a user leaves an item in a vehicle, they may contact support through the application. The Company will make reasonable efforts to assist in contacting the driver; however, it does not guarantee recovery of lost items and shall not be liable for loss or damage unless direct fault by the Company is established under applicable law.

The Company collects and processes certain data necessary to operate the service, including account details, location data, ride information, payment information, device data, and support communications.

The Company will handle personal data in accordance with applicable laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Personal Data Protection Law. Data may be used for service operation, quality improvement, safety, support, legal compliance, and fraud prevention.

Further details regarding the collection, use, storage, and sharing of personal data should be provided in the application’s Privacy Policy.

The application relies on location data to identify pickup points, guide drivers, track rides, calculate fares, and improve safety. Disabling location services may prevent the user from accessing certain application features.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of the service, including delays, lack of driver availability, route changes, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

The Company does not guarantee that the service will always be available or that the application will be free from errors or interruptions, but it will work to resolve technical issues and improve the service continuously.

Unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement, drivers are independent service providers and are not employees of the Company. Drivers are responsible for legal compliance, safe driving, vehicle roadworthiness, and proper performance of the ride.

The Company may suspend or terminate any user or driver account in the following cases:

1. Breach of these Terms.

2. Submission of inaccurate information.

3. Misuse of the application.

4. Suspected fraud or unlawful activity.

5. Harm to the Company’s reputation, users, or drivers.

6. Failure to comply with safety requirements or applicable laws.

All intellectual property rights relating to the ShortTaxi name, logo, designs, software, databases, content, and interfaces are owned by or licensed to the Company. No part of the application may be copied, modified, or reused without prior written approval.

The Company may amend, suspend, discontinue, or add any part of the service at any time, including features, prices, payment methods, coverage areas, or operating policies, in accordance with business requirements and applicable laws.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the service shall first be resolved amicably. If no amicable resolution is reached, the competent courts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall have jurisdiction.
