Short Taxi app — Developer: Short Taxi Company
Use this page to request deletion of your Short Taxi account and all associated personal data. Your account is deactivated as soon as you confirm the request, and your personal data is permanently deleted within the retention period described below.
Steps to request account deletion
- 1Choose your account type (Rider or Driver) and enter the mobile number registered in the app.
- 2Tap “Send verification code” — you’ll receive a code by SMS to confirm you own the number.
- 3Enter the code, then tap “Permanently delete my account”. You may optionally add a reason.
- 4Once confirmed, your account is deactivated immediately and you can no longer sign in.
Alternative: from inside the app
You can also delete your account inside the app via: Settings → Account → Delete account. Or email us at the address below and we will process your request within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
- •Name, email, and profile photo.
- •Mobile number and login credentials.
- •Saved addresses, locations, and location history.
- •Push notification token (FCM) and app settings.
- •Loyalty points and referrals tied to the account.
Data that is retained (temporarily)
- •Trip records and payment invoices — kept in anonymised form (not linked to your name) to comply with tax (ZATCA) and Transport Authority regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- •These records are retained for up to 5 years, then permanently deleted.
Retention & deletion timeline
Your account is deactivated immediately on confirmation. Your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the request. Financial and legal records are kept in anonymised form for up to 5 years for regulatory compliance, then permanently deleted.
